About the Artists
The Piano Arts Studio is a premier regional hub and creative collective dedicated to the highest levels of musical performance, pedagogy, literature, and composition. Bringing together decades of international concert experience, elite conservatory training, and pioneering technical expertise, the studio serves as an expansive home for advanced technical retraining, multi-faceted instruction, collaborative artistry, and original sacred and concert compositions. Amy Aberg McLelland, NCTM Director of Piano Studies, Theory, Composer, & Lecturer Amy Aberg McLelland is an award-winning pianist, composer, and pedagogue with more than three decades of teaching and performing experience. Her playing has been described as “ravishing… with a wonderful variety of tone colors and nuance of interpretation.” She has appeared as a soloist with orchestras, on public radio, and in collaborative recitals across the United States. 
Holding both a Bachelor and Master of Music in Piano Performance, with extensive post-graduate study in New York City and Europe, she is Nationally Certified through the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and is the only professional in the Southeast who has been certified in The Taubman Approach with The Golandsky Piano Institute, New York City. Since 1996, she has pursued intensive study of the Taubman Approach under Edna Golandsky and John Bloomfield, serving as an assistant teacher at international symposiums held at Williams College and Princeton University.
In addition to her performing and teaching career, Amy is an active composer. Her works seek to be accessible and practical for performers while remaining colorful, original, and stylistically expansive. Whether writing sacred music, pedagogical repertoire, or concert works, her compositional voice bridges structure and imagination, craft and creativity.
At The Piano Arts Studio, she continues to refine a model of piano study that honors both artistic depth and healthy, sustainable technique—enabling musicians of all levels to reach their fullest potential.
Dr. Jeffrey McLelland
Director of Organ, Harpsichord, Composition, & Theory Dr. Jeffrey McLelland has concertized widely across the United States and Europe, performing in such prestigious locations as St. Thomas Church (NYC), Coventry Cathedral (England), Musikdagar (Sweden), Carnegie Hall, Boston, Atlanta, and Orlando. His performances have been featured with the Alabama Boy Choir and broadcasted nationally on the acclaimed radio program, PIPE DREAMS. A native of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Dr. McLelland holds BM, MM, and DMA degrees in organ performance and is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music, the University of Southern Mississippi, and the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. He is the recipient of numerous prizes and the winner of many national competitions, including the MTNA Collegiate Artist Competition and the American Guild of Organists (AGO) NYACOP Competition. A prominent leader in the sacred music community, Dr. McLelland is also a former Regional Councillor for the Southeast Region IV of the American Guild of Organists.
